Introduction
MagicTradeBot ("the Service" or "Platform") is committed to providing a secure, ethical, and compliant environment for automated cryptocurrency trading. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the activities permitted and prohibited on our platform. It applies to all users — Free, Pro, and Elite — regardless of how you access the Service.
By accessing or using MagicTradeBot you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in warnings, account suspension, permanent termination, forfeiture of license fees, and — where applicable — reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
Prohibited activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on MagicTradeBot. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive — any activity that violates the spirit of this policy may be subject to enforcement action.
A. Market manipulation
| Practice | Description | Severity |
|---|---|---|
| Wash trading | Simulating trading activity with no actual risk to inflate volumes artificially | Severe |
| Spoofing & layering | Placing deceptive orders intended to mislead other participants about market supply or demand | Severe |
| Pump-and-dump schemes | Artificially inflating asset prices through coordinated activity before offloading for profit | Severe |
| Front-running | Exploiting advance knowledge of pending orders to trade ahead of other participants | High |
| Quote stuffing | Flooding markets with orders intended to create latency or confusion for other participants | High |
B. System abuse & security violations
-
Unauthorised access. Attempting to hack, phish, or gain unauthorised access to MagicTradeBot systems, APIs, or user accounts.
-
Reverse engineering. Decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the MagicTradeBot binary.
-
Malware distribution. Deploying viruses, ransomware, trojans, or any malicious code through the Service.
-
Infrastructure abuse. Straining platform infrastructure with excessive API calls, automated scraping, or denial-of-service patterns.
-
Credential sharing. Sharing, reselling, or distributing your MagicTradeBot license or account credentials.
-
Rate limit evasion. Using multiple accounts or proxies to circumvent platform or exchange rate limits.
C. Exchange rule violations
When you connect an exchange API key, you are bound by that exchange's terms of service. The following activities violate both our AUP and the rules of most exchanges:
- Exceeding exchange rate limits in a manner that violates the exchange's documented policies
- Operating multiple accounts on a single exchange to circumvent position limits or fee tiers
- Using MagicTradeBot on exchanges where automated trading is prohibited by exchange policy
- Bypassing geoblocking, KYC requirements, or sanctions screening on any connected exchange
D. Spam & fraudulent activity
-
Unsolicited communications. Sending unsolicited messages, signal alerts, or promotions through the Service.
-
Impersonation. Falsely claiming affiliation with MagicTradeBot, our staff, or partner exchanges.
-
Payment fraud. Using stolen payment methods, credentials, or forged identity documents.
-
Chargeback abuse. Initiating fraudulent chargebacks on legitimate license purchases.
-
Affiliate fraud. Creating fake accounts or self-referrals to abuse affiliate or referral programs.
E. Illegal or harmful activity
-
Financial crimes. Using the Service to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, tax evasion, or sanctions evasion.
-
Harassment. Engaging in threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or abusive behaviour toward other users or staff.
-
Illegal content. Distributing content that is unlawful, infringing, obscene, or otherwise prohibited in your jurisdiction.
-
Privacy violations. Collecting, harvesting, or distributing personal data of other users without consent.
F. Jurisdictional & regulatory violations
- Accessing the Service from embargoed or sanctioned jurisdictions, including but not limited to those designated by the OFAC, UN, EU, or UK sanctions lists
- Using the Service in violation of applicable AML, KYC, tax, or financial services regulations in your jurisdiction
- Offering licensed financial services, regulated investment products, or portfolio management to third parties through the Service without appropriate authorisation
Ethical trading standards
Beyond the prohibitions above, we expect all users to uphold the following standards when operating on MagicTradeBot:
-
Transparency. When sharing trading strategies, signals, or results with others, clearly disclose the risks, historical period, and any material assumptions.
-
Fair use. Avoid exploiting systemic weaknesses, thin order books, or market dislocations in ways that harm other participants.
-
AML / KYC compliance. Abide by all applicable anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer obligations imposed by the exchanges you connect.
-
Responsible automation. Test strategies in paper mode before going live; set appropriate position sizes, stop-losses, and exposure limits.
Monitoring & enforcement
Proactive monitoring
We use automated tools and manual review to detect AUP violations across our infrastructure. This includes anomaly detection on login patterns, API usage, and payment activity. Exchange partners may also report suspected manipulation or rule violations to us.
Consequences of violation
| Severity | Example | Typical action |
|---|---|---|
| First offence | Minor policy breach, inadvertent misuse | Written warning + temporary suspension (up to 7 days) |
| Repeat offence | Continued breach after prior warning | Permanent account termination + forfeiture of license fees |
| Severe violation | Market manipulation, fraud, illegal activity, malware | Immediate termination + legal action + regulatory reporting |
| Criminal conduct | Money laundering, sanctions evasion, computer crimes | Immediate termination + referral to law enforcement |
Reporting violations
If you suspect another user is violating this AUP, or if you believe your own account has been misused, please report it to our compliance team:
Include as much of the following as possible:
- Description of the suspected violation
- Dates and times of observed behaviour
- Account identifier or public username involved (if known)
- Supporting evidence — screenshots, logs, exchange data
User responsibilities
-
Account security. Protect your MagicTradeBot login credentials, exchange API keys, server access credentials, and devices. Use strong unique passwords and enable 2FA where available.
-
API key hygiene. Restrict exchange API keys to trading permissions only — never enable withdrawal permissions on keys used with MagicTradeBot. IP-whitelist your keys where your exchange supports it.
-
Third-party tools. If you integrate external scripts, webhooks, or plugins with MagicTradeBot, ensure they also comply with this AUP and applicable laws.
-
Due diligence. Confirm your trading strategies comply with the terms of service of each connected exchange and with regulations in your jurisdiction.
-
Cooperation. Cooperate with reasonable compliance requests from our team, including providing information relevant to the investigation of suspected violations.
Appeal process
If your account is suspended or terminated for an AUP violation, you may appeal the decision by emailing sales@magictradebot.com with AUP APPEAL in the subject line, within 14 days of the action. Appeals should include:
- Your account identifier
- The specific enforcement action you are appealing
- A detailed explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
- Any supporting evidence
Appeal decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final. We aim to respond to appeals within 5 business days.
Policy updates
This AUP is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect changes in regulation, emerging abuse patterns, or platform evolution. When material changes are made we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify registered users via email for significant changes
- Display a notice on the platform dashboard for 30 days
Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
