Introduction

MagicTradeBot uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (magictradebot.com) and web dashboard to maintain session security, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the platform.

This policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can control them. It applies only to our website and dashboard. Self-hosted bot instances running on your own server do not use or set any cookies from MagicTradeBot.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners. Cookies set by the website owner (MagicTradeBot) are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called third-party cookies.

We also use local storage for certain UI preferences (theme, language). Local storage works similarly to cookies but stores data on your device without an expiry date — it persists until cleared via your browser settings.

Google Analytics IP anonymisation is enabled — full IP addresses are never stored by Google on our behalf. Analytics data is used solely to understand how users navigate the website and improve performance. It is never used for advertising or profiling.

Consent management

Under GDPR, non-essential cookies (functional and analytics) require your prior informed consent. On your first visit to magictradebot.com:

A cookie consent banner is displayed offering clear Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, and Customise options
Essential cookies (session, CSRF, Cloudflare security) are always active — they are required for the website to function and do not require consent
Your preference is saved in mtb_cookie_consent for 12 months so you are not asked again
You can update your preferences at any time via Cookie Preferences

We do not sell personal information collected via cookies. The CCPA "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link appears in our website footer as required, although it is not triggered by our current practices. California residents may exercise their full CCPA rights via our CCPA Compliance Policy.

We do not use any third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok), or affiliate tracking cookies. Our cookie footprint is minimal by design.

Impact of disabling cookies

This Cookie Policy is reviewed periodically and updated when we add or remove cookies, change our service providers, or when regulatory requirements change. When material changes are made:

Registered users are notified via email for significant changes
